Give Consumers a Break

Put the Brakes on New Auto Insurance Mandates

For months the Governor and Legislative Leaders were warned by newspapers and insurance experts that new and increased mandates on auto insurance would drastically increase insurance rates for many Wisconsin residents.

Legislative leaders and the Governor ignored the warnings and passed unnecessary mandates that forced higher insurance rates and invite trial lawyers to bring more lawsuits.

Now the lawsuits legislative leaders were warned about are hitting consumers struggling through the worst recession in decades. As predicted, unnecessary mandates are driving many family insurance rates up over 20%.
